Oven Baked Sweet Potato Chips

Camping and summertime BBQ’s!  Fresh garden salsa and guacamole! 
Without chips?  Not possible! 

Okay, it is possible. 

​I’ve used fresh vegetables as a chip substitute, but sometimes I just want a REAL CHIP!

And when you want or need to avoid grains…

It’s so hard to find a good quality chip that is truly “grain-free”.  I can’t tell you how many food labels I’ve read on chip bags. 

​And many of them at first glance APPEAR to be “grain-free” (i.e. sweet potato chips) –

Essential Oil Bug Repellent…That Actually Works!

I love being outdoors this time of year – gardening, camping, walking by the river or just relaxing out on the deck!

But I don’t particularly enjoy the biting insects that seem to think I’m a tasty snack.  I’ve started getting mosquito bites working in the yard over the past couple days, which means it’s time to get out the bug spray.

A few years ago I fell in love with a couple different Essential Oil Bug Repellents.  In fact, I found they actually work better than the bug sprays made with toxic chemicals – like DEET, which I try to avoid!

Today I wanted to share one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE meals!

​Now, I will admit that I don’t really “ENJOY” cooking.  It’s more of a necessity and the only way to have control over the quality of your food.  

So, if I’m going to spend time cooking…it needs to be relatively easy to make.  This recipe not only fits that criteria, but also has great flavor and makes a very satisfying meal!

My husband and I make a double batch of this at least every other week, which gives us plenty of delicious leftovers for quick easy meals or lunches to take to work.
